The Big Idea
A label for Bacardi’s new ultra-premium rum, inspired by the company’s rich heritage.
The Story
A new prestigious dark aged rum for the adventurous connoisseur—this label needed to communicate strong authenticity, cultural resonance, and intrigue to an audience who has never tried rum.
Cadencia needed to stand out as a unique contendor among the wide competition in the rum sector.
Exploration
I explored two main conceptual directions for the label, incorporating cues that spoke to Bacardi’s heritage and Caribbean, Cuban, Afro, and Latin American culture.

Simplied Approach
After pitching the initial explore to Bacardi, I settled on a simpler, more refined look that spoke more to the heritage and craft of Bacardi.

Final Feedback & Refinement
The Bacardi team loved the simplest of these approaches with the foot label and isolated logo. To wrap things up, I explored a few final variations.
Printing
We brought the details in the label to life through embossing, gold foil, multiple finishes, and a textured tactile varnish for an extra luxurious look and feel.
